From the Ashes uses a HUD to manage the mechanical side of roleplay. Rather than tracking numbers manually or relying on the honor system, the HUD connects directly to your character sheet and handles dice rolls, modifiers, damage, crafting, and more automatically. You focus on the story. The HUD handles the math.
When you arrive on sim, you will accept the experience to receive your HUD. Once equipped, it reads your character's stats directly from your approved character sheet and keeps them current. Everything your character can do mechanically — fight, craft, heal, roll skills — runs through it.
The HUD has four tabs: Character, Abilities, Items, and Crafting. The Crafting tab is only visible to approved crafter characters.
All rolls made through the HUD are logged automatically. This means outcomes are verifiable, disputes are resolvable, and nobody has to take anyone's word for what the dice said.
