Step 1. Fill in Character Name, Legacy Name, Character Age, Background, Region, House if relevant, and Social Status.
Step 2. Assign stats according to your character’s backstory. For example, warriors might be higher in areas such as Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution, whereas members of the clergy might be higher in Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma. Characters could also be a mixture. A very strong person with little grace or delicacy might have high Strength but low Dexterity, etc. Consider the areas in which your character might have more natural or trained skills. Please review this page for maximum starting values depending on your age range. Also, consider your Heritage Feat because it will impact your base Ability scores.
Step 3. Use available ASI points (additional points provided by your background as explained on the Background page linked in Step 1) in the fields of your choosing. Remember, values for any ability cannot exceed the maximum established in Step 2. No final stat in fields F10 to F15 can value above 20 at any point except.
Step 4. Select specializations by typing them in the specialization field. For example, if your character extremely skilled at diplomacy, you might select "Diplomacy. Multiple specializations are allowed in the same slot separated by a comma. You may select a maximum of five (5) specializations for any one ability. The detailed list of specializations can be found here. Any specializations not listed with the exception of unlisted skillcraft require admin approval.
Step 5. Administer your skill points as desired.
Step 6. Select a minimum of 3 points of defects (some defects are worth more than others because they impact stats more significantly). Defects can be found here. The more defects you take, though, the more points you receive to spend on Feats and some Defects give more feats than others but also weigh more heavily on your stats. Also, if a character is crippled, blind, etc, the associated defect must be taken.
Step 7. Select the Heritage Feat that coincides with your region of origin. The list of available Heritage Feats can be found here.
Step 8. Use available bonus points to buy feats. You can earn more bonus points through activity and attendance of sim events, so you will have more bonus points to spend in the future. You will also begin with a number of free feats depending on your character’s starting age. The list of purchasable feats can be found here.
**Note** Any feats/merits that directly affect base scores (STR, DEX, etc) such as your Heritage Feat will automatically input upon typing in the name.
Step 9. Input known languages. You automatically are able to speak your native language. All subsequent languages require the following intelligence scores and require significant evidence in the backstory as to how and why the language was learned. As an example, your character may have been born in Westeros but grew up with a friend from Meereen and could therefore know Meereenese Valyrian.
More information regarding language requirements can be found here.
Step 10. Input any special equipment if applicable. This may be a weapon of legend, holy relic, etc. These items will be highly coveted and prone to attempts at theft and even conflict to obtain possession of them.
Step 11. Inform a member of the application team that you have finished filling out your character creation sheet. The application team member will review it for any necessary changes and input administrative values.
Step 12. Your stats can and will change over time. Please view this link to see how you may make changes over time.
