Earning and spending bonus points

Bonus points can be used to boost your skills, buy new feats, etc. Whatever the listed cost for a feat on the Feats list is how many points you must spend, the same as you did during the character creation process when you exchanged points earned from Defects for Merits.

 

To raise any specialty modifier by one point costs three (3) bonus points.

 

To raise any of your base skill stats by one point costs six (6) bonus points.

 

If you have taken a defect that can reasonably be overcome, you can buy it off your character sheet for twice the bonus points you received for the flaw. For example, if you received two (2) bonus points for Arrogant, then it costs four (4) bonus points to buy off the flaw, contingent upon providing evidence of having made efforts to overcome arrogance in rp. 

 

These points can be earned in a variety of ways, the most common of which will be through activity on sim. Driving plots, engaging in current storylines, and hosting events are the fastest ways to earn bonus points over time. Points may also be administered at staff discretion for actions such as being kind and helpful to new players amongst other things.

 

The more you are on sim participating, interacting, and being a kind and inclusive member of our RP community, the more points you will earn and the faster your character will progress!

 

Once per month, all players will have the opportunity to spend earned points for any of the aforementioned perks. At any point during the last three days of each month, please reach out to any online member of the Application Team to spend your points.
